Details

Day 1, Thu, 29.05.2025: Welcome to Estonia!

After your individual arrival in Tallinn (flights not included in this tour), you’ll finally meet the other guys over a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. The tasty cuisine of the Baltic countries is sure to be one of the many things that you’ll love about your unforgettable gay holiday.

Medieval magic in Tallinn

Day 2, Fri, 30.05.2025: Medieval magic in Tallinn

Your first stop on a city tour of Tallinn is the upper town where on Cathedral Hill, you’ll marvel at the ancient castle and countless opulent palaces where the Baltic nobility once resided. In the lower town, you’ll stroll through the romantic narrow alleyways of the Old Town, the quarter where the craftsmen and merchants once lived. A city wall with fortified towers surrounds almost the entire historic city centre. One of the mightiest towers in this constellation is lovingly referred to as “Fat Margaret”; in contrast, the 45-metre high “Long Hermann”, the city’s most prominent landmark, is a slender supermodel. For centuries, the Town Hall Pharmacy – presumably the oldest pharmacy in Europe – manufactured Klarett, a spiced wine that was used to treat just about everything. The afternoon is yours to explore Tallinn on your own

  • This gay tour is jam-packed with cultural highlights: you’ll visit all three Baltic capitals and dive into the history, languages, and diverse cultures of this incredible corner of Europe.

  • The Baltic region offers some of the most beautiful examples of Medieval, Hanseatic and Baroque architecture in all of Europe. Just have a look at Riga, the capital of Latvia (video) and Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, with its lovingly restored Old Town.

  • In addition to the natural beauty and culture of the Baltic region, you’ll also have a glimpse of its spirituality – in Lithuania, you’ll visit mystical pilgrimage sites such as the Hill of Crosses and the Gate of Dawn.

  • Overall, the Baltic region is becoming more and more open to the LGBTQ+ community: Estonia legalised same-sex partnerships in 2014, and Latvian society is increasingly pushing for the equal rights of all its citizens – Riga even has a small gay community!

  • Homosexuality is tolerated in Lithuania but owing to the strong Catholic influence in the country, it’s still a taboo subject for many. For this reason, you should be cautious when it comes to public displays of affection.

Stroll through the Old Town of Tallinn

Day 3, Sat, 31.05.2025: Off to Latvia!

At the seaside resort of Pärnu, the white sandy beaches will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean – all that’s missing is a tropical cocktail! Afterwards, the bus will take you across the border to the magnificent country of Latvia. Although the Baltic countries are geographically close to one another, their languages and cultures are astonishingly different. What do the countries have in common and what distinguishes them from one another? After your amazing gay holiday, you’ll be able to answer this question. You’ll have a delicious lunch at a restaurant before continuing your journey to Riga – the pearl of the Baltic countries.

Riga – the pearl of the Baltic countries

Day 4, Sat, 01.06.2025: Sensory overload in Riga

On a morning walk through the enchanting city of Riga, you’ll stop in the New Town, which fascinates visitors from all over the world with a unique collection of historical buildings in the finest Art Nouveau style. In the Old Town, the façades of the merchant, guild and town houses shine almost like new, which will make you feel like this gay tour of the Baltic countries has taken you back in time. Riga Castle, the Swedish Tower, St. Peter’s Church and the Swedish Gate are some of the other stops on this jam-packed tour. In the impressive cathedral, we hear fascinating stories about the history of one of the oldest churches in the Baltic region. At Town Hall Square, you’ll gaze at the stunning House of the Blackheads. In the afternoon, you have time to stroll through the city on our own, and in the evening, you’re in for a real treat – Latvian nouvelle cuisine at a fine restaurant.

Unique historical buildings in Riga

Day 5, Mon, 02.06.2025: By order of the Czar – Rundāle

Around 50 kilometres south of Riga lies Rundāle, the magnificent baroque palace built by master architect Rastrelli, which we will explore in detail. The regal palace was built in two periods, from 1736 until 1740 and from 1764 until 1768, and has been on the list of state-protected monuments since 1924. The palace’s baroque gardens are particularly stunning. After this informative tour, it’s goodbye, Latvia – hello, Lithuania. Our first stop in the final country of your gay holiday is the Hill of Crosses in Siauliai, a mystical pilgrimage site. No one knows whether there are 10,000 or 100,000 crosses at this national shrine – but you’ll be impressed nonetheless.

Breathtaking landscape of the Curonian Spit

Day 6, Tue, 03.06.2025: Treasure hunt on the Curonian Spit

This breathtaking landscape of the Curonian Spit has attracted many artists to Nida. At the Amber Museum, an expert shares with you fascinating facts about amber – the “gold of the Baltic Sea”. In the adjoining amber workshop, you’ll learn to cut, file and polish amber by hand using traditional techniques. A beautiful piece of Baltic amber is the perfect souvenir for friends and family back home! As a reward for your hard work, you’ll have some delicious fish for lunch – fresh from the Baltic Sea, of course. Make sure to take in the idyllic atmosphere here – the lagoon sparkles through the sparse forest and the scent of pine mingles with the Baltic Sea air. After lunch, enjoy the view from the tall dune and take a leisurely hike (2 hours, easy) down into the “Valley of Silence”. Tonight, you’ll be staying in Nida.

Kaunas - second largest city in Lithuania

Day 7, Wed, 04.06.2025: Kaunas and the Neman River

No gay holiday would be complete without a dose of culture! Today, you travel to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. Located at the convergence of the Neman and Neris rivers, the city was awarded the title European Capital of Culture in 2022. After exploring the Old Town with its historic Town Hall Square on a walking tour, you’ll understand why – Kaunas has countless stunning examples of Baltic architecture. Afterwards, the journey continues to Vilnius.

Vilnius – Jewel of the Baroque

Day 8, Thu, 05.06.2025: Vilnius – Jewel of the Baroque

Welcome to Vilnius, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994! Your first stop is the Church of St. Peter and Paul with its exquisite stucco work, typical of the Vilnian Baroque style. From Subaciaus Hill, you have a fantastic view of the city, and at the Gate of Dawn you’ll walk alongside pilgrims to the miraculous icon of Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn. On our tour of the Old Town, you’ll see the cathedral and the venerable Vilnius University founded in 1579, among other sights. In conversation with a conservator in the Franciscan Church, we learn just how much Vilnius invests in the preservation of its historic monuments. After another day of gay holiday adventure, you’ll have a farewell dinner together with the other guys at the restaurant in town.

Try the many delicious types of beer
